I am so thankful when a waiting room is pleasant. What makes it pleasant? For me, the most important thing is not what is in it, but what is not in it. The item I am speaking of is a TV, blaring with news, if this is left out, (IMO) there is peace.
Nice art on the walls helps too. Oh, and clean bright space with natural light. If there is no possibility of natural light, the right artwork and lightly painted walls will keep a space bright and inviting so that your clients, customers or patients say, "Sure, I'll wait".
